Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, the Eagles, are south London's Premier League club, based at Selhurst Park in South Norwood. For many people in east Surrey, Croydon and Sutton, Palace are the nearest top-flight team, and Selhurst is a short train or bus ride away.

The professional club was formed in 1905 at the Crystal Palace exhibition grounds, where it played its first home games, before eventually settling at Selhurst Park in the 1920s. Red and blue stripes and the eagle on the crest are part of the local landscape.

Selhurst Park is known for a loud, close-packed atmosphere, especially from the Holmesdale Road end. When you can't get a ticket, plenty of local pubs show Palace games live, and Meli lists upcoming televised fixtures so you can plan where to watch.
