Meadowbank Football Ground
About
Meadowbank sits in a park a short walk from Dorking High Street, with the spire of St Martin's Church rising behind the main stand and the Surrey Hills in view beyond. Football has been played here since 1953, and after a £5 million rebuild in 2018 it became home to Dorking Wanderers and the headquarters of the Surrey FA.
The Wanderers' story is remarkable: founded in 1999 by a group of friends, they won twelve promotions in their first 23 seasons to reach the National League, and now compete in the National League South. The ground has a covered seated main stand, small covered terraces, a 3G pitch and a first-floor social club, with a fan zone bar and food stalls on matchdays.
All three Dorking stations are within walking distance, so it is easy to pair a game with lunch or a pint in town.
