The Memorial Ground

About

The Memorial Ground is one of the most characterful grounds in Surrey. Gifted to the town in 1947, it is named in memory of five Farnham United Breweries workers killed in the First World War, and today it is home to Farnham Town, whose rapid rise has taken them into the National League South, the sixth tier of English football. The ground has grown alongside the club, with new stands added in recent seasons, including a partially covered terrace. Matchdays have something of a festival feel, with the clubhouse bar and garden open from lunchtime and a fan zone of food and drink kiosks serving pies, pints, burgers and loaded fries. Crowds have swelled as the club has climbed, and the mood is lively and good-humoured. Arrive early, grab something to eat and enjoy one of the county's genuine non-league success stories.
