The New Defence

The New Defence has been home to Horley Town since 2003, and takes its name from the club's previous ground, the Defence, named in memory of those who died in defence of the country. The Clarets now play in the Isthmian League South East Division after winning promotion through the play-offs in 2026. The modern clubhouse is the heart of the ground. Its first-floor bar looks straight out over the pitch, so you can watch with a pint in hand, and there is a small seated stand below plus a snack bar selling hot drinks and food. The bar and function room are also popular for parties and celebrations. Sitting next to Horley Leisure Centre with plenty of parking, it makes an easy afternoon out for families in Horley and the surrounding villages, and a chance to back a club on the up.
