Broadwater Sports Club

About

Broadwater Pavilion, set in green surroundings between Guildford and Godalming, is home to Guildford Rugby Club, founded in 1922. The 1st XV play in the RFU's regional South Central leagues, the Guildford Gazelles represent the club in women's rugby, and a big youth and mini section fills the fields on training and festival days. The facilities are excellent for club rugby: several full-size pitches, two of them floodlit, plus a first-floor bar lounge and function room with a large balcony facing the main pitch, which is a fine spot to watch a match with a drink. The pavilion is also a popular venue for parties and events. It is a short walk from Farncombe station, and visitors get a genuinely warm welcome, so it suits rugby regulars and anyone who simply fancies an afternoon of live sport in the fresh air.
