Nutcracker Suite & Rachmaninov at Christmas

Experience the magic of Christmas by candlelight as the Piccadilly Sinfonietta performs two beloved masterpieces beneath the soaring arches of Guildford Cathedral. Acclaimed pianist Warren Mailley-Smith takes centre stage for Rachmaninov's sweeping Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18, one of the most romantic and stirring works in the repertoire. The programme also features Tchaikovsky's much-loved Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, with its Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz of the Flowers and other festive favourites, plus a sparkling medley of seasonal music to round off the evening in style. Set in the candlelit splendour of the Cathedral, this is a truly atmospheric way to celebrate the season. The concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased online up to 3pm on the Friday before the event, so book early to secure your place.
