The Snowman with Live Orchestra

Make it a Christmas to remember with a special screening of the family favourite The Snowman, accompanied by a live orchestra beneath the soaring arches of Guildford Cathedral. Presented by Carrot Productions, the world's leading performers of the film with orchestra, this award-winning show features some of the UK's finest professional musicians. Since its release in 1982, The Snowman has become a much-loved Christmas classic. The story of a snowman who takes a boy on a magical flight to meet Santa Claus is charming and poignant, told without dialogue through animation and music alone, including the beloved song Walking in the Air. As an extra treat, the performance includes an additional short film, also accompanied live by the orchestra, plus a fun festive introduction to the instruments and even a visit from the Snowman himself. This magical show lasts around sixty minutes with no interval, and is perfect for the whole family. There are two performances on the day, at 2pm and 6.30pm. Book early, as tickets can be purchased online up to 3pm on the Friday before the event.
