The Prince Albert stands on Stoke Road in a distinctive Neo-Tudor building put up between 1936 and 1938, and has been bringing Stoke Village together over a drink for generations. After nearly two and a half years closed, it reopened in 2025 under Rob, Laura and Tim, who have breathed new life into the place while keeping the character that makes the building special.
Today you will find a carefully chosen selection of local beers, wines and spirits, plenty of friendly faces, and a warm welcome whether you are popping in for a quick pint or accidentally staying all evening. A rear garden, open-mic and street-food style evenings, and quiz nights have featured in the relaunch rhythm — always check theprincealbert.uk and socials for the latest.
A heartening reopen for Guildford: come for a neighbourhood pint in a handsome 1930s pub the community was glad to see return.
