Sub89

Sub89 is Reading's best-known live music and club venue, tucked away on Friar Street in the town centre. Over the years it has hosted countless touring bands on their way up, alongside club nights, tribute acts and the long-running Just the Tonic comedy club on Saturdays. It has a proper gig-venue feel: standing room in front of the stage, a lively bar and a crowd up for a good night. Comedy tickets usually include entry to the club afterwards, so it is easy to make a full night of it.
