Legendary DJ and cartoonist Mr. Scruff brings his famously eclectic marathon sets to the Sub Rooms for a Halloween party, joined by MC Kwasi. Expect everything from funk, soul and disco to jazz, hip hop and reggae, served with his trademark doodled visuals. Dig out a costume and dance the night away. Strictly 18+.
Comedian Hannah East brings her stand-up show Express Yourself to the Sub Rooms for a night of quick-witted, relatable comedy. She's a fast-rising name on the circuit with a big online following, and her live shows are warm, silly and very funny. Recommended for ages 14 and over.
Hejira pay heartfelt tribute to Joni Mitchell, taking in the songs that made her one of the most celebrated songwriters of all time, from the folk classics of Blue to the jazz-tinged sounds of Hejira itself. It's a beautifully played, intimate evening in the Sub Rooms ballroom. Doors open at 7pm.
Stroud's own party night returns to the Sub Rooms, headlined by the high-energy Antwerp Gipsy Ska Orkestra with Year of the Dog and DJ Robbie Duncan among the line-up. Expect brass, Balkan rhythms, ska and plenty of dancing. A proper Stroud knees-up.
Two of the finest voices in British and Irish folk share the stage: acclaimed songwriter Boo Hewerdine and Irish singer Heidi Talbot. Expect exquisite songs, gorgeous harmonies and plenty of gentle humour between numbers. A perfect night for lovers of thoughtful, beautifully crafted music.
Andy Fairweather Low has had a remarkable career, from 60s hits with Amen Corner to decades as a sideman for Eric Clapton, Roger Waters and George Harrison. He brings his band and a songbook of rock 'n' roll, soul and blues to the Sub Rooms. Expect great musicianship and a few classic tales from the road.
