St Peter's Street, St Albans

St Peter's Street is the broad, historic heart of St Albans, running from the medieval Clock Tower and Market Place up towards St Peter's Church. It's lined with shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and twice a week it fills with the stalls of the city's famous Charter Market, which has traded here for centuries. It's also the stage for the city's biggest street celebrations, so there's usually something going on.
