Verulamium Park

Verulamium Park is St Albans' much-loved green space, laid out over the site of the Roman city of Verulamium below the cathedral. Lawns, a lake busy with wildfowl, sections of Roman wall and a hypocaust mosaic make it a lovely place for a stroll, picnic or family outing, with the Verulamium Museum and the historic Ye Olde Fighting Cocks pub close by. It's also the setting for some of the city's biggest outdoor events, including the annual fireworks spectacular.
