North Downs Way Farnham Walk
Walk the chalk with a North Downs Way Ambassador on this linear guided walk from Farnham railway station to Guildford.
Covering roughly 11–12 miles through woodland, sandy heath, quiet villages and countryside below the Hog’s Back, the route takes around 5–6 hours at a steady pace. Meet at 8.45am for a 9am start; finish in Guildford town centre near the station.
Dogs are welcome. Bring a short lead for lanes, livestock, road crossings and busier urban stretches. Pack lunch, water and waterproof layers for a rewarding Surrey Hills day on the trail.

Aldershot Pawsome Extravaganza
Aldershot’s Pawsome Extravaganza is a free festive dog day on Union Street, packed with have-a-go activities, demos and a cheerful dog show.
From scent detection sessions and Hampshire Tails demos to Santa Paws arriving mid-afternoon, there is plenty for dogs and their humans. Dog-show classes include Prettiest Lady, Handsomest Lad, Best Rescue, Best Trick, Golden Oldie, Cutest Puppy, Fancy Dress and Best in Show.
Entry to the day is free; dog-show entries are a small fee in advance or on the day. A strong nearby outing from Guildford and Farnham for dog-mad families.

Farnham Railway Station
Farnham railway station is the western trailhead of the North Downs Way National Trail. Guided and independent walks often gather here before heading out through woodland, heath and villages toward Guildford.

Union Street in Aldershot town centre hosts community markets and special events, including festive dog days with shows, demos and family activities. A handy nearby outing from Guildford and Farnham when something pawsome is on.
