Aldershot Town
About this team
Aldershot Town are the Shots, the professional football club of Aldershot, playing in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. Home is the Recreation Ground (currently the EBB Stadium), a proper old-school town-centre ground just over the Surrey border from Farnham and Ash.
The club was formed in 1992 after the original Aldershot FC folded, and the new side climbed quickly through the non-league pyramid. The Recreation Ground was home to the old club too, so there is a real sense of continuity on the terraces.
Matchdays have a friendly, traditional feel: standing terraces, red and blue scarves and a short walk from the town centre's pubs and cafés. It is one of the easiest places for west Surrey fans to watch fifth-tier football in person.
